Last post?

I was posting to this blog as "Psapfique Stan" (see first post) but I've decided to abandon it and create a new blog where I post using my YouTube identity, D. Claude Katz. I would have liked to keep this one separate and keep posting as Psapfique Stan, but Google won't let me do that without screwing up my GMail account. So the old "Posted by" lines, as well as the "About Me" box on this blog will now say "D. Claude Katz" (incorrectly, since I wasn't in the D. Claude Katz persona when I posted). Translate that in your mind to "Psapfique Stan". And good bye. The blog is dead; long live the blog.

(I may try to create a separate "Psapfique Stan" profile and give it permission to post here. We'll see how that works out.)

First off, I guess I should talk about my name.  My last name is Za, and in English the P's are silent.  And, oh, yeah, it's not my real name.

And while we're on the subject, why is it that Sappho spells her own name with a psi, but later references to her generally seem to use a sigma?
